Our shop is in the El Gòtic neighbourhood and the last traditional business standing at Carrer d’Avinyó. Find us at nº7.
Our peculiar workshop façade is a Barcelona icon.
People enter our shop because of a photograph or illustration they saw, a text they read (Carlos Ruiz Zafón mentions La Manual a few times in his book The Labyrinth of the Spirits), or a description they heard. Once, a client sent us a letter where a drawing of our façade was figured as the receiver’s address. Guess what, we got it!
At La Manual, shop and workshop are one and the same. Here you’ll find the opportunity to experience the espadrilles-making craft first hand (and customise your own as you please!)
Our workshop has pieces of fabric lying around, soles stacked on shelves and unfinished espadrilles over the table. The messiness of our place reflects a craft process; here is where the magic happens.
