An exercise in observing our daily environment.

Jordi Coll (Taradell, 1930-2009) learned the trade from a very young age, but once he achieved mastery he had to go to work in a factory, although he kept his workshop and tools. When he retired he was encouraged to resume his craft activity, since the last clogmaker had left the trade and donated the tools to a museum.

Since we considered renewing our brand identity, there were values that we knew were immovable, although we reviewed everything to rethink our future. In this process we remembered materials, ideas, designs, desires and experiences to recover and share.

“And from the dragon’s blood was born a rose that the knight Sant Jordi gave to the princess”. Thus ends one of the most famous legends of Catalonia, Valencia, Balearic Islands and Aragon.

In this section we’ll try to shed some light on this subject while we travel through the history and geography, the aesthetics and the human side of the world of espadrilles. You can tie espadrilles in many ways, and use the same technique in all of them regardless they are wedges, sandals, or flats.

In order to enjoy our comfortable and genuine espadrilles we need some fabrics that don’t appear just out of the blue. Instead, they go through a long journey, and we would like to pay tribute to it with a series of articles about the winding paths they take and the people who make it happen.
