Casual, easy-going and summery. Barcelona and our espadrilles are inseparable and synonymous with each other.
…a stroll around the El Gòtic neighbourhood. Lose yourself in its labyrinthic streets from medieval times and discover beautiful hidden plazas, traditional shops and charming bars. You’ll find History on every corner, and our shop is an unmissable stop.
The Plaça Sant Felip Neri is one of our favourite squares in Barcelona. Here you can sense the weight of History in the air: there are civil-war marks left on the walls of its beautiful baroque-style church. Enjoy a peaceful moment by its fountain and let your imagination take you back in time.
It is hard not to stumble upon musicians in this city. Find opera and flamenco artists on the streets behind the cathedral, where the acoustics will give you goosebumps. If you’re more into jazz, don’t miss the jam sessions at Barcelona Pipa Club.
Stop by the vibrant market “La Boqueria” and try delicious Catalan dishes at “Bar Pinotxo “, where the ingredients are always fresh. Have coffee at the Cafe de l’Opera, a few streets down the Rambla.
A curious wanderer cannot miss the secret interior gardens scattered around the city — true insider’s sanctuaries. Our suggestion: the Museo Federic Marès garden near La Catedral.
Have vermouth at noon and tapas at any time of the day. When you feel like something sweet, churros dipped in chocolate are the answer! Here are a few of our favourite places to eat in Barcelona: Xurreria Banys Nous.
If you are a Picasso fan, discover the incredible permanent collection at Museu Picasso, where his early works are on display. And since you’re here, visit our second shop right next to it, at Carrer Montcada nº13.
Soho House is a laid back cosmopolitan club where the entrepreneurial and creative communities meet for business – and pleasure. If you’re a fellow member, you’ll probably find us on the rooftop enjoying the sunset with a cocktail in our hands.
Barcelona is where we are and who we are.
We are both small but internationally known, traditional and modern, creative with a singular language and, most of all, enjoyable. La Manual Alpargatera is proudly “barcelonina”.
We love to share what we do: experience our craft first hand at our emblematic workshop in Carrer d’Avinyò 7
