Finding your size in La Manual espadrilles

Choosing the right size is essential to enjoying comfortable espadrilles from day one. As these are handcrafted shoes, we recommend taking a moment to measure your feet carefully.

To do this, you will need a sheet of paper and a ruler.

Place the paper on the floor against a wall, and stand barefoot on it with your heel touching the wall. Mark the point where your longest toe reaches and measure the distance from the edge of the paper to the mark. Repeat the process with the other foot and always use the largest measurement as a reference.

The measurements in our guide correspond to the maximum foot length that fits each size. Depending on your preferred fit, your measurement may be equal to or slightly less than the chosen size. Keep in mind that espadrilles, made with natural materials, stretch slightly with use.

Espadrille Use and Care Recommendations

Espadrilles are crafted from natural materials like jute, a water-sensitive vegetable fiber. For this reason, regular washing of your espadrilles is not recommended.

Washing is only advisable in very specific cases, such as when the espadrille has stretched with use and you want it to shrink slightly.

In these cases, only flat espadrilles or those with a wedge up to 3.5 cm may be washed.

If you decide to wash your espadrilles, we recommend following these instructions:

• Place them inside a mesh laundry bag.

• Use a short washing machine cycle.

• Use neutral soap.

• Run several spin cycles.

Jute can deteriorate if it remains damp for too long, so a thorough spin cycle is essential to prevent deformation.

We only recommend washing espadrilles under the conditions described above.
